Vijay Sethupathi has confirmed as Rajinikanth villain

Superstar Rajinikanth completed the shoot of two films and both are due for release.  While 'Kaala' is slated for June 7 release,  '2.0' release date is yet to be locked by the makers.  Meanwhile, Rajini gave his green signal to another film in the direction talented young director Karthik Subbaraj. 

Karthik Subbaraj is known for films like 'Pizza', 'Jigarthanda', 'Iraivi' etc.  Rajini said to have impressed with the political thriller story narrated by Karthik Subbaraj and gave him an offer to direct him.   Pre-production is going on in full swing for this film. Sun Pictures banner is producing the film.  The makers have recently announced that talented Tamil actor Vijay Sethupathi is playing a crucial role in the film.  Kollywood reports suggest that he is playing the chief antagonist role in the film. 

Regular shoot will commence from June and they are planning to finish the movie quickly as Rajini will become busy with his new political party.  There is a talk in Kollywood that this might be the last film of Rajinikanth.
