Who is Given 5/5 Rating For Mahanati ?

Keerthy Suresh is all excited about being able to do a movie like Mahanati. The movie is a biopic on Savitri, legendary actress of Telugu Cinema, from its golden age. 

Keerthy talked to media about the film and she said, "Nag Ashwin and his team efforts cannot be undermined in any way. I would rate the movie 5 out of 5, on pure effort to bring the life of Savitri garu to celluloid."She talked about her hesitation to sign the film. "I was apprehensive, if I can pull off the character. Swapna Dutt and Priyanka Dutt, the producers convinced me to take up the lifetime opportunity," recalled the actress. 

She also said that she got a pen drive filled with all the film clips of Savitri from many of her films to understand her acting style. On looking close to Savitri, "I couldn't imagine myself as even her mirror image. But for more than 100 days for the movie I wore prosthetics and there was a lot of work of my hair to make me look like the great actress," shared the actress.

She also said that Nag Ashwin, the director was adamant on taking her as he saw her performance in her movie, Rail and liked the innocence in her eyes. She revealed that Neevu Leka Veena song, Mayabazar portions have been recreated for the movie and there is also a small montage with different iconic songs of Savitri re-enancted. 

The movie is releasing on 9th May. Dulquer Salmaan, Vijay Devarakonda and Samantha Akkineni are playing other major lead roles.
