Ram Charan may be a big star in Telugu states but he was struggling to post decent numbers at the US box office for the past few years.  But his last film 'Dhruva' brought some following for him in the US.  His recent release 'Rangasthalam' turned out to be a runaway hit in the US and brought huge profits to the US distributor thanks to director Sukumar's brilliant direction.

It is known that the movie has already become the third highest grosser after 'Baahubali' films.  The movie went on to gross $3,500,789(3.5 million) which is the highest in Ram Charan's career.  If we talk about the share, it is $1.9 million.  If the publicity and other expenses are deducted than it will be $1.75 million.  It is equivalent to Rs.11.75 crores.  Non-USA markets brought another Rs.2.20 crore so the total is 13.65 crores.

The overseas rights have been sold for Rs. 9 cr so the distributor has got a profit of 4.65 crores.  As all the recent star hero films are turning out to be loss-making ventures in the overseas, 'Rangasthalam' came as a huge breather to the overseas buyers.
