Puri Jagannadh planning a multi-starrer with Nagarjuna and Naga Chaitanya

Filmmaker Puri Jagannadh is going through a rough phase in his career with most of his latest films not working greatly as much as he and audiences would have wanted to. Although the films open to a thunderous release, it all fades away from the second day eventually hitting the floor hard. Puri Jagannadh’a latest outing Mehbooba too turned out to be a dud contrary to the expectations the makers would have pinned on it. Mehbooba become the third film in a row for the filmmaker to not have a great run at the BO – Ism, Paisa Vasool and Mehbooba. But all these don’t seem to affect the passionate filmmaker! According to latest reports, Puri Jagannadh may collaborate with Akineni Naga Chaitanya and will be for the third time after Super and Sivamani.


Reports reveal that Puri had narrated a subject to Nagarjuna even before Mehbooba started and Nag quite liked the idea. Reports suggest Nag has asked Puri to wait for his complete his current assignments which includes the multo-starrer with Nani and Bangarraju which will be a sequel to Soggade Chinni Nayana. And what’s more exciting? It is also being said that Puri’s film with Nag will be a multi-starrer again with son Naga Chaitanya to play the other lead role. This has led to quite an excitement around the news and fans are eager to know more about this project. Although it may be too early to count on this, but circles in Telugu film industry is abuzz with this news.


Nagarjuna is currently shooting for the multi-starrer with Nani which is being directed by Sriram Aditya. Nag will also do a film with good friend and Malayalam filmmaker Priyadarshan which will also star Mohanlal in the lead role. The film is titled Marakkar and will be based on a Muslim Naval Office named Kunjali Marakkar.
