Actor Anu Emmanuel was last seen in Allu Arjun starrer Naa Peru Surya which was one of the decent hits this summer. Anu Emmanuel was supposed to play one of the leading ladies in Ravi Teja’s upcoming film Amar Akbar Anthony which is being directed by Srinu Vaitla. However, the actor had to opt out of the project due to date issues and being unable to allocate for the US schedule of the film. The latest news we hear about Anu Emmanuel is that the Majnu actor would be seen playing a cameo in Vijay Deverakonda’s upcoming film which is being directed by Parasuram aka Bujji. The film is yet to be titled and is slated to be released in August this year, reports reveal.

“It’s a short and cute role. We needed an actress who was hot and happening and at the same time someone who had a strong connection with the youth. We found Anu Emmanuel to be the right choice. We are glad that she accepted the role,” a report in DC quoted a source. The film is yet to be titled and will have Rashmika Mandanna playing the leading lady in it.

Anu Emmanuel hasn’t had a great start to 2018 after her first release of the year, Agnyathavaasi, alongside Pawan Kalyan failed to impress the audience. Directed by Trivikram Srinivas, Agnyathavaasi had Anu Emmanuel playing one of the leading ladies besides Keerthy Suresh. And with her latest release Naa Peru Surya too receiving mixed response, the young actor will look to get her career back on track.

Anu Emmanuel, besides this untitled film, will also be seen playing the love interest of Naga Chaitanya in Maruthi’s upcoming film. Rumoured to be titled Sailaja Reddy Alludu, the shooting of the film is currently underway and Anu Emmanuel is part of this schedule in Hyderabad. Baahubali actor Ramya Krishna would be seen playing an key role in Sailaja Reddy Alludu while Naga Chaitanya is said to be playing her nephew in the film.
