Aishwarya Rai or Deepika Padukone to star opposite Shah Rukh Khan in 'Salute'?

Shah Rukh Khan is all set to star in Rakesh Sharma's biopic titled 'Salute'. Reports have it that Shah Rukh Khan will soon begin prepping for the film. The female lead of the biopic is not yet finalised and now according to recent reports, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Deepika Padukone's name is on the top of the list.A source close to an entertainment portal revealed that the makers of the film have been on the lookout for the lead actress for some time and now they have shortlisted Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Deepika Padukone for the role.

The source further added that the final decision is yet to be made and the makers will soon make an official announcement of the same.‘Salute’ will revolve around the life of a man called Rakesh Sharma, the first Indian to travel into space. This Mahesh Mathai directorial is likely to go on floors by the year-end.Currently, Shah Rukh Khan is busy shooting for Anand L Rai's 'Zero'. The film also stars Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma. 'Zero' is set to release on December 21, 2018.
