Dayana Erappa Joins Chekka Chivantha Vaanam Team!

One of the most waited for projects for in Tamil cinema is the multi-starrer by Mani Ratnam Chekka Chivantha Vaanam which stars Simbu, Arvind Swami, Vijay Sethupathi, Arun Vijay, Jyothika, Aishwarya Rajesh, Aditi Rao Hydari and many others in it. Said to be an intense action flick, Chekka Chivantha Vaanam is currently being shot in the Middle-East with lead actors Arun Vijay and couple of others. The makers recently roped in another actor for the film which is an interesting addition to the cast. Model-turned-actor Dayana Erappa has been signed to play one of the most important roles in the film, reports reveal. Dayana, reportedly, has told in an interview with a Tamil daily and confirmed that she would be seen playing one of the lead roles in Chekka Chivantha Vaanam. Ace stylist Eka Lakani too shared a picture of Dayana Erapa on her Instagram page and confirmed that the model is indeed a part of the cast of Chekka Chivantha Vaanam.


The music of the film will be composed by maestro A.R.Rahman while the camera will be cranked by Santosh Sivan. The film will be dubbed into Telugu as well and is titled Nawab. Rest of the cast includes prominent actors like Prakash Raj, Thyagarajan, Mansoor Ali Khan and Jaya Sudha. The story of the film is penned by Mani Ratnam and Siva Ananth, who co-wrote the film Sachin – A Billion Dreams.


Post Kaatru Veliyidai, Mani Ratnam has been working on this script and has announced it recently. Mani Ratnam is yet again going to collaborate with the Oscar and Academy winning Music Composer A.R. Rahman. This movie is going to be bankrolled by Madras Talkies and has audience pinning high expectations on this. Mani Ratnam’s team is always a set of technicians who have been close to him over years.
