The Tiger Shroff-Disha Patani love story: Friends to secret vacations

Tiger Shroff and Disha Patani would like everyone to believe that they are just "good friends", but gossip columns insist otherwise. From parties to dinner dates to film screenings to secret vacations, Tiger and Disha have been painting the town red ever since they appeared together in the music video of Befikra.It was in 2016 much before the release of her debut film MS Dhoni: The Untold Story that Disha set the temperatures soaring in Befikra with Tiger Shroff. Their sizzling on-screen chemistry as well as off-screen camaraderie set many tongues wagging.

During a media interaction before the release of his film Baaghi, Tiger had openly admitted that Disha would be his dream girlfriend. "Kaash! (I wish) She is a very beautiful girl, she's too good for me" the actor said when he was asked if he and Disha were more than just friends. He said in another interview, "Well, we tried our best - but I don't think that I am the kind of guy anyone would fall for. I am so married to my work."While the two constant denied being a couple, their public appearances suggested otherwise. When everyone thought that the two were going strong, rumours of trouble in paradise spread like wildfire. Apparently, Tiger's mother Ayesha Shroff was not too fond of Disha and saw her as someone using her son to climb up the ladder.

But this far short-lived as the two put the rumours to rest by going out on a date. Since then, their 'relationship' has only gotten stronger.The rumoured lovebirds took off to Maldives to ring in the New Year this year. Away from the prying eyes of paparazzi, the two decided to spend some quality time together, yet again fanning link-up rumours.

But Disha once again denied dating rumours, "Tiger and I have a platonic relationship. It is social media that creates news about us. Whenever we visit a restaurant or watch a film together, they put up such news." However, she added that she has no friends in Bollywood apart from Tiger."I have no friends in Bollywood, except the Shroffs. The entire family is very helpful, Tiger is no exception. I am happy to have them as my friends," she said.

In fact, pictures of Disha bonding with Tiger's mom and sister went viral a few days ago. Asked about his relationship with Disha, Tiger had once answered, "We go around all the time. Going around doesn't mean we're dating. You do go around with friends, right? I go around with my guy friends also, which no one cares about. Besides, have Disha and I ever indulged in PDA or anything. Today, I can say that she is one of those few people who I can trust implicitly and is very open, straightforward and honest. I don't have too many friends and I don't open up easily with people, but she's an exception."

In fact, the lovebirds once again took off to Maldives for a secret getaway last month, thus sending their fans into a tizzy.The two might be blue in the face denying that they are in a relationship, but it's high time that they take cue from other B-Town couples and make it official soon.
