Befikre actress Vaani Kapoor has bagged one of the most interesting projects. She will be seen romancing Ranbir Kapoor in ‘Shamshera’. The leggy sass is known for her flawless dance moves and all the credit goes to her Bollywood numbers ‘Nashe Si Chadh Gayi’ and ‘Main Yaar Manana Ni’. This landed her into an amazing opportunity of performing at IIFA Awards 2018. However, the dimpled actress suffered from hamstring injury during her practice session that pulled her out of the awards ceremony.

“Vaani had an extremely outlandish performance planned for IIFA. As we have seen, she is an outstanding dancer and she had started regular rehearsals to put up a stellar performance. However, she has suffered a freak hamstring injury and she has been advised to take it easy for at least 2 weeks to prevent a bigger injury,” says a source as quoted by Bollywoodhungama.

The source further added, “Vaani feels terrible that she won’t be able to perform at IIFA, this is a big blow but she has to rest it out and not take unnecessary risks that aggravate the injury any further.”Speaking of her character in this RK starrrer movie, she will be reportedly seen as a travelling artist and performer who has guy going gaga over her seductive beauty. Film’s director Karan Malhotra told in an interaction, “Vaani plays Ranbir's love interest in the film and is a very important collaborator in his character's journey. Her character graph is interlinked to the plot of the film. She is a crucial catalyst in our hero's rebellious mission.” We hope that the actress gets well soon and gets the chance to perform at IIFA this year.
