Ileana D'Cruz to make her comeback to South films with 'Amar Akbar Anthony'

After making a headway into Bollywood with 'Barfi!', Ileana D'Cruz was rarely seen on the South film screen. Her last film in the South was reportedly in 2012. The actress has now signed on a film in the South after a long time. The film with which she is making her comeback after six years is 'Amar Akbar Anthony' and it has nothing to do with cult classic of Bollywood.


Ileana will star opposite Telugu superstar, Ravi Teja. The actress, reportedly, replaced South heroine Anu Emmanuel as her dates clashed with another film .The makers of 'Amar Akbar Anthony'reportedly took to social media to welcome the actress back into Tollywood in a special way. "It's good to have you back in Telugu cinema, Ileana," they tweeted.


 


 


For Ileana, the film reunites her with her 'Kick' co-star, Ravi Teja. the film was remade in Hindi with Salman Khan and Jacqueline Fernandez in 2014. In fact, her last Telugu film 'Devudu Chesina Manushulu' was opposite Ravi.


'Amar Akbar Anthony' is directed by Srinu Vaitla. The film, which is being shot extensively in US, is slated to to release in October this year.
