Kangana Ranaut is one of those actresses who says it like it is, no filters attached. While many criticise her choice of comments, there are many who applaud her for her stance on topics such as feminism and women empowerment. In an interview with Cosmopolitan, Kangana got candid on how she was subjected to physical violence at a very young age and it was nothing but her strength and courage that has made her the woman she is today.

Kangana shared, "Everything I have been through has made me the person I am today. But when I was very young, a minor, I was subjected to physical violence and exploitation. That shouldn't have happened. But when I look back, I feel that the person I am today is the result of the strength, wisdom and kind of understanding of myself and my character, which was brought about at a young age being subjected to such extreme circumstances."

"It is the result of extreme pain and humiliation that I had to go through. I think if I had to exchange that with someone else, I would rather have that experience. I wouldn't want anyone to go through physical abuse," Kangana added.Meanwhile, Kangana is currently in London shooting for Mental Hai Kya. Mental Hai Kya, which is a psychological thriller also stars Rajkummar Rao and is directed by Prakash Kovelamudi.

Kangana is also gearing up for the release of Rani Laxmibai's biopic titled Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi. Directed by Krish, Manikarnika also stars Ankita Lokhande and Sonu Sood.
