Update on Mishti Chakravarty

Mishti Chakravarty, the Bengali beauty will be seen playing crucial role in Krish’s periodic film Manikarnika:The Queen of Jhansi.

According to the latest update, Krish is very impressed with the work of Mishti Chakravarty’s expressions and performance skills in her earlier released films and brought her on the board for his upcoming directorial venture Manikarnika:The Queen of Jhansi in which Queen and Rangoon fame Kangana Ranaut is playing the lead role. Kangana Ranaut will be seen playing Rani Lakshmi Bai. Though what character Mishti Chakravarty will play in Manikarnika, is yet not revealed but the sources say that she has an impactful role in this upcoming periodic drama.

The sources close to Krish say that since it is a period drama, Krish was looking for a familiar face who can express and live the character, and roped Mishti Chakravarty. She has already done he shoot of her part and Krish is very impressed with the work of Mishti Chakravarty.

Mishti Chakravarty made her Bollywood debut with Subhash Ghai’s film Kaanchi: The Unbreakable and she made her debut in Tollywood with the  A. Karunakaran’s directorial ventue Chinnadana Nee Kosam, in which Nithiin played the lead role.   Mishti Chakravarty shared the screen space with Sumanth Ashwin in Columbas, which was bankrolled by MS Raju and was released in 2015. Later she moved back to Bollywood and acted in bold drama Grand Grand Masti and Bengam Jaan. Vidya Balan star Begam Jaan was set in the Backdrop of a Brothel and where she played the role Of Shabnam.  Last year Mishti Chakravarty was seen in Srinivas Avasarala starrer Babu Baga Busy, the remake of Hindi adult comedy film Hunterrr.

Manikarnika revolves around the life and times of brave Queen of Jhansi – Laxmibai. It has many war sequences and also stars Atul Kulkarni, Sonu Sood,  and Ankita Lokhande in crucial roles.
