Rajkumar Hirani's Sanju, which is based on the life of Sanjay Dutt, is still in theatres and raking in the moolah. However, Akshay Kumar will never make a film on himself.Emphasising that he would "never ever" make a film or write a book about himself, Akshay told PTI, "There are so many amazing stories in history, like Tapan Das (his character in Gold), Arunachalam Muruganantham on whose life Padman was based, who have steered India in a positive direction. I would be a fool to make a biopic on myself."

"I would never even think of it, it will be a shallow thing to do for myself. I want to make biopic on real heroes and not reel heroes," he added, sparking rumours that he is taking a dig at Sanjay Dutt.Bollywood is bitten by the biopic bug and currently, there are several films on real-life personalities in the pipeline, including ones on Shiv Sena supremo Bal Thackeray, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, mathematician Anand Kumar, music mogul Gulshan Kumar, Olympic gold medallist Abhinav Bindra, ace badminton player Saina Nehwal, Rani Laxmibai and famed writer Saadat Hasan Manto.

Talking about the overdose of biopics, Akshay said, "It is a known (fact) in our industry that if something works, almost everyone does the same thing and this is not just about biopic or sports biopic or something else. If a few films fail, everyone will run after something else."Akshay will be seen next in Reema Kagti's Gold, which tells the story of independent India's first Olympic gold win.
