Jennifer Aniston is best known as Rachel Green from the popular sitcom, Friends. The actor made headlines more for her personal life than professional. Ever since she split with Justin Theroux, rumours of her reconciliation with ex-husband Brad Pitt has been doing the rounds. Amongst many rumours, Jennifer has been accused of being "selfish" for not embracing motherhood.

In a tell-all interview to an international magazine, Instyle, Jennifer spoke about the number of rumours surrounding her, about sexism and why it is about time people stop judging women based on their body, looks and appearances.

"There is a pressure on women to be mothers, and if they are not, then they’re deemed damaged goods," she said, reacting to a question on the biggest misconception people have about her. She added, "Maybe my purpose on this planet isn’t to procreate. Maybe I have other things I’m supposed to do?"

Moving on, Jennifer, who will be seen playing an ex-pageant queen in the movie Dumplin', was asked if she ever wanted to be one when she was young. Jennifer cited the thought to be hysterical and stated, "No. Do you know what I looked like as a kid? The truth is, that’s all changing now. That’s what this movie is all about. It’s about redefining beauty and how we as a society interpret what beauty is. I love that the Miss America pageant is going to get rid of the swimsuit competition altogether."

Elaborating further, she said, "You know, a swimsuit body is a body in a swimsuit, no matter what that body is. It’s time to just stop thinking beauty is in the shape of a size 4 and the right butt size and the right waist size and the right measurements. It’s just old. We’ve done it. We’ve been there. Let’s move on."

When asked if she has ever faced sexism in her career, Jennifer confessed, "I’ve definitely had my fair share of sexism in the media. Women are picked apart and pitted against one another based on looks and clothing and superficial stuff. When a couple breaks up in Hollywood, it’s the woman who is scorned. The woman is left sad and alone. She’s the failure. F that.""When was the last time you read about a divorced, childless man referred to as a spinster?" she asked.
