Janhvi and Khushi Kapoor at the Dhadak Success bash

Sridevi and Boney Kapoor’s daughter Janhvi Kapoor debuted in Bollywood with Shashank Khaitan’s Dhadak. The film is an adaptation of the Marathi super-hit film, Sairat, by Nagraj Manjule. Janhvi stars with Ishaan Khatter in the film. She essayed the role of a girl from an affluent family, Parthavi and Ishaan played the role of Madhukar. The film is a love-story set against the back-drop of caste discrimination and politics. Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions produced the film.

The makers hosted a success bash for the cast and crew of the film today. Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter twinned in black. Janhvi Kapoor rocked the LBD and rounded her look with dewy make up, statement earrings and open hair completed her look. Ishaan Khatter looked cool in a black tee and grey denim. Janhvi Kapoor’s sister Khushi Kapoor also attended the bash and looked stunning in black separates. Karan Johar also opted for all-black look and posed for photos with the Dhadak team. Director Shashank Khaitan also attended the film’s success bash.

The film has crossed the Rs. 100 crore mark at the box office. It received positive response from the audience as well the critics. Janhvi Kapoor has already signed her second film with Dharma Productions. She will be working in Karan Johar’s next directorial venture Takht and will star opposite Vicky Kaushal in the film. Takht will release in 2020. Ishaan Khatter is yet to announce his upcoming projects.
