I just wanted fuller lips, says Aashka Goradia

Going under the knife is nothing new in Bollywood. There are regular reports in media about celebrities having opted for some procedure or the other. However, not many really accept to have got it done. However, TV star Aashka Goradia Goble is not one to shy away or feel apologetic about her choices.

She was recently trolled and criticised for getting a lip job done but in an interview to Mumbai Mirror, she not only accepted that she underwent a procedure but also defended her choice. The actor, who has worked in soaps like Kkusum and Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, was quoted as saying: “My husband (Brent Goble) made me realise that there is nothing to hide. Yes, people will shame you but there is nothing to be ashamed of. I wanted to do something to my face, and that’s my choice. And I know that opening up sometimes is the only way to shut people up.”

She said that she was always keen on fuller lips and used lip liners in the past. Later she decided to undergo a procedure. She added that she has always loved make up, the human face and what one could do with it. With the help of technology, she had the choice to do it better and she went for it. The effort was preceded by a lot of research.

She said that she was made to feel bad about her choice. “I wish I had a sob story to tell you but there is none. I just wanted fuller lips and decided to go for them.”
