Nani Was First Choice For Geetha Govindam

Natural Star Nani was first choice of Parasuram Petla, the writer and director of Geetha Govindam to play the cameo character of Nithya Menen.

Well, the title might have made you think this is about Vijay Devarakonda's role but it isn't. 

Director Parasuram in an interview said, " Vijay Devarakonda involves into every aspect of filmmaking. He has in own clever inputs and strategies to discuss with us. 

He doesn't indulge too much gets involved. He wants the best for the film and keeps improving on his performance and script too. 

It is him to came up with publicity strategies and it is because of his word, we made Revanth sing What the Life, song when we were comfortable with his version.

It's him who made us get Rahul Ramakrishna and he suggested to go for Nithya Menen for cameo role while I wanted Nani or Sharwanand. 

His suggestion helped us to improvise the script and today, you can see a person like Govind taking an advice from another Girl about his love rather than a male, which sits well with his character," concluded the director. 

So, even though Nani could have been a part of this Geetha Govindam, Vijay thought about film's betterment than just his friendship with Nani. They both have earlier worked together in Yevade Subramanyam and in fact, Vijay got noticed from that movie, only
