Mumbai, April 19 : South African industrial percussion act 1st Project is set to perform here later this month.

The band, comprising Andrew John Lingwood, Theodorus Hermanus Rosslee, Sybrand Johannes Van Dyk and Joshua Sanue, uses drums to create 'Aggressive Percussion'.

Having toured over 25 countries, 1st Project has played at more than 2,000 shows.

And now, 1st Project, which is exclusive to production house AGP World in India, will perform from April 21 to 23.

"We are doing shows only in Mumbai this time. One show is for IIFL conference, one at CCI Club and one at Playboy Club, Mumbai. This is just a promotional show. We will plan pan-India soon," Ashvin Gidwani, Managing Director and Producer, AGP World, told IANS.

The band loves Indian rhythms.

"We always wanted to come to India to perform for the audience. We are just looking to have a blast with our audience," they told IANS.

They also explained the concept behind the act.

"It was to change the common view of drumming groups -- from campfire drum circles to stage performances of smashing drums and sweating out a live show that demands attention."
