Richa Chadha to debut on Television, turns a judge for Queens of Comedy

The bold and sexy Richa Chadha will soon take a plunge into the television world as a judge in the comedy show Queens of Comedy . The comedy reality and talent show will come on infotainment channel TLC . The show will have female talents from all walks of life vying for the next comical talent. The English show will have funnyman Rohan Joshi and comedienne Kaneez Surka as the co judges.

The shoot of ‘Queens of Comedy ‘ will begin in August and show will go air in September. Till now Indian television has many comedy shows but this one promises to be different as it thrives to find a lady with a good comic timing. Richa is lately doing lots of web films like Men’s world for Yashraj films and Inside Edge with Vivek Oberoi. The actress is experimenting with her career and is not shying away from doing films or web series.

Richa hails from Delhi and moved to Mumbai to pursue career in films. She started off with insignificant roles in films like Bablu and Benny and got fame with Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye! But it was Richa’s bold and brash village act in Gangs of Wasseypur that made her a known name. Richa though has been choosy in doing films and has an interacting lineup of films like Masaan, Goliyon Ki Raas Leela- Ram Leela Fukrey and Tamanchey. She also did short films with many directors.

Hope with new innings on television, Richa gets to do something different on TV which seems to be the next perennial pastures of most Bollywood actors. So Richa will hunt for India’s best comedienne with this talent hunt show. Already Indian television has given us comedy talents like Raju Shrivastva , Kapil Sharma, Sunil Grover but barring Bharti Singh, there are hardly too many females in this category. Hope Queens of Comedy does find that lady who can give the comedy guys a run for their money.
