Plus Points:
Vijay Deverakonda’s Performance
Entertainment
Direction
Minus Points:

Second half
Run Time
Unnecessary Scenes

Performance: Vijay Devarakonda sets the screen on fire with his screen presence and performance.  The anger and emotion are neatly blended to deliver a performance that is memorable.   Vijay  steals the show with his terrific performance. His body languages, way of dialogue delivery, actions win the heart of audiences.  Shalini Pandey as Preethi Shetty performed well. She gave worthy performance and whenever she has lengthy dialogues, director used the expressions of  Devarakonda to cover her. She needs little bit improvement in her performance. Rahul Ramakrishna justified with his role as a friend of Vijay Devarakonda. Priyadarshi got limited screen space but performed well.  Yesteryear actress Kanchana plays a role of  Arjun Reddy’s grandmother, she pulled off with consummate ease as did Kamal Kamaraju who played the role of Arjun Reddy’s brother.  The rest of the cast performed accordingly.

Technical: The story line and screenplay format is good.  Dialogues are noteworthy and touched the audience’s heart. The action episodes are choreographed well. The background music by Radhan is  impressive  and the cinematography by   Raju Thota is up to the mark. The run time of the film is long. The film needs editing of at least 20 minutes. There are number of unnecessary dragged scenes in the second half of the film. The director Sandeep Reddy Vanga has done good job as he narrated the film in an entertaining manner.

Analysis:  Vijay Devarakonda breaks new ground with his class act. It’s an entertaining first half that takes place on the campus and will definitely appeal to the youth. But these second half is on a completely different track and it’s about only Vijay Devarakonda and his addiction. Audiences who come for a youthful college story might end up disappointed in the second half. Go watch Arjun Reddy if you’re a die-hard Vijay Devarakonda fan.
