Bollywood diva, Parineeti Chopra has now been appointed as the first Indian woman ambassador in ''Friends of Australia'' (FOA) advocacy panel by Tourism Australia. The ''Friends of Australia'' programme has been devised as a way of fostering mutually beneficial, long-term friendship with those that Tourism Australia regards as unique storytellers. The panel also includes influential personalities like chef Sanjeev Kapoor and cricket commentator Harsha Bhogle.

Being an avid traveller, Parineeti keeps visiting destinations across the world. "In fact I travel a lot and visit 4-5 new countries every year, I am that kind of a person,'' she said.

Australia holds a special place in her heart. ''Australia is one of those places I was waiting to visit as I have heard a lot about it and researched so much. So, when I went there, it was like meeting a star. It was like, you have only seen him on TV or seen in pictures, but now meeting in person. That was the kind of feeling I had, and I felt very loved over there,'' she exclaimed.

The Meri Pyaari Bindu actress had already enthralled us with her breath-taking pictures from her trip to Australia last year.
