Having spent nearly four years on S.S. Rajamouli’s Baahubali franchise, actor Prabhas will finally commence work on his next yet-untitled Telugu outing on Monday. The film will be directed by Sujeeth. “For all the darlings and well wishers out there. Pooja tomorrow. Thanks for all the wishes in advance. Prabhas 19 shuru karenge,” Sujeeth tweeted on Sunday. Sujeeth made his directorial debut with 2014 Telugu romantic-comedy Run Raja Run in Prabhas’s production.

According to a source from the film’s unit, Prabhas will play a police officer in the film. “He plays a duty-fearing cop. He will lose muscle and look leaner for his role in the film. He has already started working out to look his part,” the source said. While Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy trio has been roped in to compose tunes, Madhie will crank the camera.

Prabhas will next be seen in much awaited Baahubali: The Conclusion. The movie also stars Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, Tamannaah Bhatia. While each of them were committed to this project through these years and gave it their 200%, Prabhas went about his commitment differently. He was the only one among the three who didn’t do any other movie in the 4 years he shot for this film. On the day of the wrap, Shobhu, the producer of the film, put it across perfectly, “Honestly, didn’t keep track of #Prabhas dates! didn’t need to! His dates came with no strings attached! Such was his commitment to #Baahubali.” But here’s something surprising – according to a source, his decision to do a single movie for 4 years was not taken lightly. His family and friends warned the actor about the huge risk he was putting himself at especially since he was at the peak of his career.
