The first film saw him roaming through the spice markets, sky diving, playing volleyball on the beach and shopping at Dubai Mall, all the while surprising Dubai’s residents. A second edition of the Dubai Tourism #BeMyGuest campaign will be released next week, and the Bollywood megastar has posted a teaser of the video on his Twitter.
The full video was shot in May, and will be released on Saturday, but the good news for SRK mega-fans is that a behind-the-scenes video of the new #BeMyGuest video, directed by Kabir Khan, has been released online. The new footage shows Shah Rukh Khan, 52, kayaking in Hatta, going down a waterslide at Dubai Parks & Resorts, and strolling through the Dubai Aquarium.
“Shah Rukh is a global icon, he’s recognised all over the world,” explains Kabir Khan. “He’s recognised not only by the South Asian diaspora, but also by a large number of people all over the world. He’s somebody who is truly international, and he’s representing a city that’s truly international.”
The Raees and Don star even appears to conquer a fear in the video: “My biggest fear is going down a dark tunnel with water inside it,” he says, on his way to do just that. The first #BeMyGuest video, which was released in December 2016, won the Grand Prix prize at the International Tourism Film Festival in Latvia.
