Shamita Shetty to visit old-age home on her b'day

Shamita Shetty, who turns a year older today, will have a low-key celebration with close friends and family as it’s been only over a year since her father passed away. The actress will visit an old-age home, with which she has been working closely for a few years now. Shamita says, “I am very close to this old-age home, I love visiting them. This birthday, too, I will spend some time with them. The intent is always to make them smile. I do it because it makes me happy. I’m grateful for the life I have and if I can help the less-fortunate in any way, I want to do it. It’s terrible that children send their parents to old-age homes instead of taking care of them. They need more people to visit them and show them love.”
