Malayalam actor Divya Unni ties the knot

Malayalam actor Divya Unni got married to Arun Kumar from Mumbai on Sunday, reports Manorama Online. The marriage took place at the Sree Guruvayoorappan temple in Houston, USA. Only close family members and friends were in attendance.Divya, who was previously married to Dr Sudhir Shekhara, announced her separation in 2016, adds the report. Later, she ended her 14-year-old marriage and shifted back to Kochi with her two children, Arjun and Meenakshi.In an interview to a local women’s magazine called Vanitha, she had said that it was “saddening and depressing” to end a relationship, which was meant to last forever. She also added that she would live for her kids.While is it not clear the reason for the divorce, it has been speculated that her former husband Sudhir’s extramarital affair could have been the cause for the rift. However, reports have not been officially confirmed.

Divya was a promising actor in the 1990s and has acted with all the leading men of the industry including Mammootty, Mohanlal, Jayaram, Dileep and Suresh Gopi. She has worked in Tamil, Kannada and Telugu films as well.
