Hrithik Roshan‘s film, Super 30, was supposed to release on November 23, but got postponed after Karan Johar announced the same release date for Student Of The Year 2, starring Tiger Shroff. The film will now release on January 25, which seems to be a lucky period for Hrithik. Last year, despite Shah Rukh Khan‘s Raees rivalling it at the box office, Kaabil managed to earn good money. However, despite changing the release date, the film will still clash with Emraan Hashmi’s Cheat India. (Also read: Mrunal Thakur of Kumkum Bhagya fame joins Hrithik Roshan for Super 30 shoot)

Earlier Cheat India was supposed to release in February 2019. Emraan Hashmi had earlier revealed, ““My production company is delighted to partner with #TSeries (Bhushan Kumar) and #EllipsisEntertainment (Tanuj Garg, Atul Kasbekar) on one of the most engaging and riveting scripts I’ve read in a long, long time. Our production is called #CheatIndia and it will be directed by Soumik Sen. The edge-of-the-seat drama will take a startling look at the crimes in the Indian education system which has created a parallel ecosystem infested with a mafia of sorts. I am sure that every student and youth will hugely relate to the subject. In an era marked by the success of content alone, I’m excited to be essaying a character which I believe will be a landmark one in my filmography. Thank you for all your love and mark February 2019 in your calendar!” But now the actor has taken to Twitter again to reveal the new release date for the film. Check it out right here…

Interestingly, both the films deal with the workings of the education system. While Hrithik’s Super 30 is a biopic on Anand Kumar, who coached underprivileged students to crack the IIT entrance exams, Emraan’s film will tackle the malpractices prevalent in this sector. It will be one educational Republic Day weekend for sure!
