Jacqueline Fernandez will be a part of Salman Khan's Kick 2, confirms Sajid Nadiadwala.

Ever since Sajid Nadiadwala first brought Salman Khan and Jacqueline Fernandez together on the silver screen in Kick, we have been under the hangover of their sizzling chemistry which has not a single crack. Come Eid and the gorgeous duo is all set to recreate their Jumme Ki Raat magic in Ramesh Taurani's Race 3. And if a report by a leading daily is to be believed, Jackie and Salman would commence their third collaboration very soon. When director Nadiadwala announced Kick 2 and reserved the Christmas 2019 slot for the Salman Khan starrer, rumour mills were abuzz that Jacqueline won't make it to the sequel of her 2014 blockbuster.

However, the filmmaker has rubbished all such reports and confirmed that the Sri Lankan is very much in the script he is writing. We had already decided that there would be a sequel. I’ve been writing it for a year now. As I had a lot of other things on my plate, it was taking time. I’ll restart the writing process. We should be ready to roll the movie next year, after Salman finishes all his current films. Kick 2 will release on Christmas 2019,” Sajid Nadiadwala told DNA.  

However, the reason behind the rumours of Jacqueline's ouster from the movie have a Salman Khan connection. Sajid told the daily, “At an event, Salman was handing over the Best Director Award to me and he had said in jest, ‘Kick 2 is ready now, and Jacqueline, you are not there!’ He just joked and news spread that Jackie would be replaced in the film.” But none of this hold true for she will be seen in the sequel next year. “Once I finish penning the script, I’ll be completely sure. But at present, she’s there in what I’m writing. But it’s too early to talk about it.” Earlier there were reports that Amy Jackson or Deepika Padukone might replace Jacqueline since the makers were hunting for a new face opposite Salman, someone who has never shared screen space with the actor. Recently, Jacqueline Fernandes attended a press conference for her upcoming song Ek Do Teen from Baaghi 2 along with film's director Ahmed Khan and choreographer Ganesh Acharya. During the interaction when she was asked about working with Salman and if she'll be a part of Kick 2 she said, "I am working with Salman right now (Race 3). But I think Kick 2, the announcement right now has come down and I am very very happy that Nadiad (Sajid Nadiadwala) is working with Salman again. And I think details on anything more for Kick 2 should be coming from the producers and in time."

Going by Sajid Nadiadwala's revelation, we can all gear up for yet another superhit outing with Salman and Jacqueline in the lead. The two superstars, however, are currently filming for Race 3 in Thailand. The Remo D'souza directorial also stars Daisy Shah, Bobby Deol, Anil Kapoor and Saqib Saleem. After wrapping up its shoot, Bhaijaan shall move onto the sets of his next film with Ali Abbas Zafar, Bharat.
