Parthiban's daughter Keerthana marries Akshay

Noted filmmaker Parthibans daughter Keerthana has tied the knot with editor Sreekar Prasad's son Akshay Akkineni. A-listers from Tamil and Telugu industry graced the wedding.The wedding has been performed as per the Hindu customs. As per the buzz, Chief Minister K Palaniswami, Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, Suriya, Vijay Sethupathi, Sibiraj, Vishal, the President of Tamil Nadu Film Producers' Council, Nadigar Sangam, directors like Bala, Lingusamy, Ameer and Vignesh Shivan have wished the newlywed.Ditching the red, the bride opted for an aquamarine blue saree with a golden border and teaming it with a purple blouse. The boy, instead of traditional silk shirt and dhoti, wore cream sherwani. 

Keerthana is not an unfamiliar face for Tamil audience as she stole the hearts of the cine-goers as a child-artiste in Mani Ratnam's Kannathil Muthamittal in 2002 and won National Award for her performance. Despite getting such appreciation she never pursued the acting career and wanted to work behind the screens.In fact, Mani Ratnam offered her to cast in his movies, but she rejected and choose to be his assistant in his film, Kaatru Veliyidai. She is still nurturing her directorial dreams.On the other hand, Akshay belongs to Tollywood's doyen LV Prasad's family. His father Sreekar Prasad is an acclaimed editor, who has worked in Hindi, Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu movies.

Akshay Akkineni, who made his directorial debut in Bollywood with Pizza, the remake of Karthik Subbaraj's Tamil film of the same name.
