Madame Tussauds Delhi is going to get another star entry. It has been announced that the wax figure of Shah Rukh Khan will be unveiled on March 23. The first wax figure of the Bollywood actor was launched in London, UK, in 2007, with the subsequent recast of it being featured in other attractions globally.

“Given his massive fan following across the globe, and because he is a popular celebrity and loved by everyone, it was a prestigious choice for us to bring Shah Rukh Khan’s figure to Madame Tussauds Delhi. This is one of the most awaited announcements for his fans, and it will give them an opportunity to have an up-close and personalised photo opportunity," says Anshul Jain, general manager, Merlin Entertainments India Pvt. Ltd.

Shah Rukh, who is currently shooting for his dwarf film Zero, co-starring Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif, was recently honoured at the World Economic Forum for his exemplary commitment in improving the state of the world. Including this, he has been honoured with a Padma Shree award and has achieved numerous national and international accolades, including 14 Filmfare awards.

Madame Tussauds Delhi boasts of life-like wax figurines of famous personalities from the world of glamour, sports, history, politics, and history. Madame Tussauds has been making wax figures for over 150 years. Each masterpiece takes four months, and a team of 20 dedicated artists, to create. Over 500 precise body measurements are referenced, real head hair strands are inserted one by one, and countless layers of paints and tints are applied to build up skin tones - all to achieve a kind of astonishing realism.

Madame Tussauds has attractions in London, Hollywood, Las Vegas, New York, Orlando, San Francisco, Washington D.C., Amsterdam and Sydney, among other places.
