When it comes to Kamal Haasan's films, controversies are bound to ensue. From Virumandi to Vishwaroopam 2, many films of the veteran actor-filmmaker have faced many hurdles before its release.

However, Vishwaroopam 2 seems to be treading a tranquil path towards release with no roadblock, yet. The film, according to industry sources has cleared the censor certification, without much fuss.

It is said that the thriller has gotten a UA certificate after the officials watched the film in a popular preview theatre in Chennai.

The first film was stopped from its initial release when many Muslim outfits protested against the film, claiming that it showed Muslims in a bad light. After a long battle, the film was finally allowed to see the light of the day.

Vishwaroopam 2, directed by Kamal himself, has Pooja Kumar, Andrea, Rahul Bose and Shekhar Kapoor in the lead roles. The first film told a story about an undercover RAW agent Wisam stopping a bomb blast planned by the terrorist Umar.

The film is expected to hit the screens this May.

Meanwhile, Kamal Haasan is busy with his political journey. He will next act in Shankar's Indian 2.
