Katamarayudu first day, first show

The first biggie of the season, the much awaited Katamarayudu is releasing today. Although it started off as an uninteresting project, it turned out to be one of the craziest films after the teaser launch.

Thanks to Pawan Kalyan’s humongous fan base and stardom, Katamarayudu started off on a high note right from the day its bookings are open.Katamarayudu is a regular mass entertainer with Pawan playing the role of a patriarch in a family of five brothers.It is the remake of a Tamil hit Veeram that was also dubbed into Telugu as Veerudokkade. Director Kishore Kumar Pardasani says that they have made enough changes to the original to suit Pawan Kalyan’s body language and image.Audio of the film got an underwhelming response, but the trailer infused confidence as it is loaded with the stuff that pleases fans.Makers are hoping that it will strike a chord with the mass audience and families to be a successful venture.Katamarayudu should collect around Rs. 85 crore share to be termed as a box office hit. However, fans would be hoping that it would beat Khaidi No. 150 record by collecting Rs. 105 crore.It remains to be seen whether Pawan could pull this regular masala film to such a level.

Katamarayudu movie begins interestingly with the introduction of Pradeep Rawat.Here comes the introduction of Pawan Kalyan. His getup is terrific. The attire is good. First action episode is neat in faction movie style.The first song is here - "Mira Mira Meesam". Shot lavishly on Pawan Kalyan and dancers.Movie is progressing with the love stories of Katamarayudu's brothers.The story of Narsappa (Rao Ramesh) is revealed. He now wants to take revenge on Katamarayudu.Introduction of Shruti Haasan. A classical singer.Second song - Jivvu Jivvu. Shot on Pawan Kalyan, Ali and his brothers. Ordinary song.Brothers are trying to set up situation for Katamarayudu to fall for the charms of Avanthi (Shruti Haasan). The episode is a bit dragging.Third song is here. Shot well.Katamarayudu finally proposes to Avanthi. The plan of brothers has become successful. Now comes the "Lage Lage" song.Train fight sequence. Movie is heading towards interval bang.First half of the movie ends with nothing much story but with right hook at end of the interval bang. The real drama should begin post-interval.Second half begins with subdued Katamarayudu trying to win the love of Avanthi as he went to her village.Introduction of NASA (Prudhvi).Movie is progressing with unnecessary scenes. Pace of the movie has slowed down."Emo Emo " song is here. Shot on Pawan and Shruti in Switzerland.Tarun Arora as Bhanu has been introduced. His rivalry with Bhupathi (Nasser) , father of Avanthi, has been established. And that popular dialogue in the trailer "Enta Mandi unnaru Anedi kadu evadu unnadu Anedi mukhyam" has also come.
