Superstar Shah Rukh Khan might have had a bumpy journey in terms of generating box-office numbers, but that doesn’t take away from his immense popularity and fan following. Currently busy shooting for Aanand L Rai’s ‘Zero’ which also stars Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif alongside him, he will be essaying the role of a vertically-challenged man for the first time on the big screen.

Apart from this highly anticipated project, SRK also has the Rakesh Sharma biopic lined up in his kitty. As per latest reports, King Khan will begin the first leg of ‘Salute’ in the month of September this year. He will be working on the project for a month, and then take a brief break to promote his upcoming year-end release ‘Zero’.


Shah Rukh Khan will be essaying the role of astronaut Rakesh Sharma in ‘Salute’ and it’s the first time when he will be portraying a real-life hero on the big screen. Rakesh Sharma, a former Air Force pilot who was the only Indian to travel into the space is also a winner of Ashoka Chakra and Hero Of Soviet Union awards. The movie is scheduled for a 2019 release.

On the other hand, his upcoming film ‘Zero’ is slated to release across theatres on December 21st, 2018.
