NTR Biopic v/s YSR Biopic at festival season

Nandamuri Balakrishna who is keen on the biopic of his father NTR revealed that the film will hit the screens during Sankranthi 2019. Though it was Dasara which has been locked for the film’s release, NTR got delayed with Teja’s exit. Krish has been asked to direct the movie and the makers are confident on releasing the film during the festival season. Now the latest update says that Yatra too will release during Sankranthi next year and will clash with NTR.

Yatra is the biopic of Ex-Chief Minister YS Rajasekhar Reddy and will be focused on the massive foot march that brought him to power. Mahi V Raghav is the director and Malayalam Superstar Mammootty will reprise the role of YSR. The regular shoot will commence from June 18th and the film will make it for Sankranthi. This is quite interesting as the biopics of two legendary politicians are all set to clash during the biggest season of Telugu cinema. NTR is produced by NBK Films and Yatra is bankrolled by 70mm Entertainments.
