U Turn Day 1 BO: Just OK Start For Sam!

'U Turn', Samantha's First Full-length Lady-Oriented Flick, managed a decent opening on release day. Day 1 Share in Telugu States is about Rs 1.10 crore for this Super-Natural Thriller.

As per trade, 'U Turn' Worldwide Pre-Release Theatrical Business touched Rs 16 crore-mark. It has to collect not less than Rs 8.8 crore in the Telugu States alone for break-even. Considering the stardom of Samantha, A share of just over Rs 1 crore isn't appreciable at all. Even low-budget films such as 'Goodachari' and 'RX100' managed to generate much better revenue.

On a positive note, Reviews and Word-of-Mouth has been very positive for 'U Turn'. It is doing quite well in all the Multiplexes and Single Screens in the A Centres. The revenues would only pick up in the coming days. 

Festival Weekend will be dominated by 'Shailaja Reddy Alludu' irrespective of the reviews and word-of-mouth. This Naga Chaitanya-starrer is able to draw more crowds than the Samantha's Thriller.
