Sonakshi Sinha CLEARS the air about failing to turn up for an event in Delhi

Sonakshi Sinha is currently busy with a few projects in hand. Amidst this, the actor was invited to be a Chief Guest at an event in Delhi. However, since morning there have been rumours spreading from the organisers side who claim that the actor did not turn up for the event even after due payments were made. The actor was also provided with the air tickets, claims the organisers. Since Sonakshi did not arrive for the event, the fans created a ruckus which reportedly led to police arresting one. 

 We got in touch with Sonakshi's representative to know the truth about the matter. Reacting to it, Sonakshi released a statement via her spokesperson to clear the air around the issue and maintained that like promised the actor did go to the airport to be able to attend the event but the organisers remain unresponsive. "Sonakshi is a thorough professional and has no reason to walk away from any commitment she makes. Sonakshi was approached by the event organizers in Delhi to be their cheif guest. However, despite repeated reminders, the organizers failed to have the dues cleared till the last day. This is payable to Sonakshi for her professional commitment and along with the dues, they didn't even send the return tickets to the team, putting everyone in tough spot since she had a shoot the next morning," her statement read. 

"They remained incommunicado with Sonakshi's team till the last minute despite all of the above and she hence decided to give it one last try by going to the airport. Unfortunately, despite abiding by her professional codes, she had to come back home from the airport because the organizers just weren't responding and updating them. Being someone who believes is everyone holding up their end of a bargain, she wasn't pleased about the lack of commitment showcased from their end and hence her team was forced to take a stand against attending the event," the statement concluded.
