From last two years, Shah Rukh Khan fans have been eagerly waiting for his film Zero. The superstar made an announcement in 2016 that he will be collaborating for a huge project with director Aanand L Rai. When the news of him playing the role of a vertically challenged man in the film came out, the excitement level only increased. At the beginning of 2018, SRK and the team of Zero revealed SRK's look and title of the film through a teaser. The teaser received a lot of positive response. It is clearly one of the much awaited films of 2018.

SRK had booked the release date December 21, 2018, two years ago for his film. However, two films were going to release on the same day - Anupam Kher starrer The Accidental Prime Minister and fantasy film Aquaman. But looks like the Dil Se actor has nothing to worry about anymore as his film will now get a solo release. The release date for both the films is pushed forward, thus making the path clear for SRK's Zero. We contacted trade analyst Girish Johar to know his thoughts on how the solo release will benefit Rai's film.

Girish Johar told us, "When a BIG film like Zero is releasing in an ideal situation you don't want any other competition to be there. However, big or small it is, you want the entire focus on your film only with no distractions. Apart from some media traction, they would definitely also take up some space at the box office...at the ticket windows. Both APM & Aquaman are films which will have some standing of their own at the BO. There is certainly audience wanting to watch them, so it's good they have moved away making it a clear way for ZERO at the Box office. APM is expected to be a strong content film for a higher-end audience and AQ is also expected to be dubbed & promoted aggressively. Both being shifted from the same date is a lot of comfort for makers & fans of Zero."Zero also stars Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma and many celebs like Salman Khan, Rani Mukerji, Kajol, Karisma Kapoor, R Madhavan and late Sridevi will have special appearances in it.
