Alia Bhatt and Brahmastra director Ayan Mukerji twin in blue during Diwali celebrations

Since the time Alia Bhatt started shooting for Brahmastra, she has become very close to the director of the film, Ayan Mukerji. The actor has been sharing a lot of photos with Ayan and they have become true blue BFFs now. Even during Karan Johar's Diwali celebrations, Alia was seen bonding with Ayan and the director of 2 States, Abhishek Varman. She had shared a photo with both of them and caption it saying, "?????? ?? ????"

 A while back, Alia took to her Instagram page and shared a photo posing with Ayan at a Diwali party. In the photo, both are seen twinning in blue outfits. Alia is seen wearing a blue salwar suit with mirror work all over it and a matching sheer dupatta. On the other hand, Ayan wore a royal blue coloured kurta and white dhoti style pyjamas. Meanwhile, talking about Brahmastra, the film is going to be of fantasy romantic genre and Ayan has planned to make it into a trilogy. The shoot for the first instalment has been happening in full swing and most portions of it have been shot in Bulgaria. Brahmastra also stars Amitabh Bachchan and Ranbir Kapoor in the lead roles. Mouni Roy, Nagarjuna and Dimple Kapadia will be seen in pivotal roles in the film. The film is being produced by Karan Johar under his home banner Dharma Productions. Brahmastra is slated to release on August 15, 2019.
