Contrary to the expectations, '2.O' took the Box Office by storm in North India and performed ordinarily in South India. While the Hindi Version entered the profit zone within the first week, Regional Versions are staring at huge losses.'2.O' Hindi Version raked in Rs 122 crore Nett in 6 days. Karan Johar acquired the Theatrical Rights of the sci-fi thriller for around Rs 70 crore. The Shankar-directorial was able to put up double digit figures even on weekdays. That's something most high budget Hindi Films have been struggling to do these days. In the long run, '2.O' could end up anywhere close to Rs 200 crore or over the double century mark. Brand Value of Akshay Kumar and Karan Johar really worked in favour of the movie.
Down South, Revenues of '2.O' aren't on par with the expectations. It's heading towards huge disaster in Tamil Nadu, though collections have been much better in Telugu States. The biggie didn't meet the hype even in Karnataka and Kerala.
